Status on Implementation of POSHAN Abhiyaan (National Nutrition Mission)

ICDS-CAS

The supply of Growth Monitoring Devices(35,866 ) has been completed in 21 Districts of 3 rd phase.

Capacity Building (ILA)

SRG training on 17 th , 18th & 19th ILA Module was completed on 8/11/2019 and 09/11/2019 for phase I & II Districts.
The SRG on 20 th & 21 st ILA Module is scheduled on 06/01/2020 and 07/01/2020 for phase I & II Districts.
The DRG & BRG training on 14 th , 15 th & training for AWW’s for 16 th module is in progress.
SRG-Batch 1 training on 7 th , 9 th & 10 th ILA Module was completed on 13/11/2019 and 14/11/2019 for Phase III Districts.
SRG-Batch 2 training on 7 th , 9 th & 10 th ILA Module was completed on 15/11/2019 and 16/11/2019 for Phase III Districts.
The DRG & BRG training 4 th , 5 th & 6 th ILA Module has been completed for Phase III Districts.
6th Module training is in progress in sector level training for AWW’s.

Phase I & II districts have completed three meetings as against four due to Election-MCC in block and district level and submitted their Convergence action plan.

State has conducted two convergence meeting and Convergence Action Plan (CAP) for 2018-2019(for Phase I & II) has prepared and submitted on June 2019.

GO was issued to form Convergence Action Plan (CAP) committees in Phase III (21 Districts) by the month of May,2019, Convergence Meetings were conducted in all 21 Districts of phase III in the last quarter and 287 blocks have prepared & submitted Block Convergence Action Plan. District Convergence Action Plan was received for 18 districts and State Convergence Action Plan for 21 District will be shared by last week of November 2019.

Behaviour Change (BCC)

CBE – Totally 4,44,323 and number of Community Based Events (CBE) were conducted for phase I &II districts and 2,63,967 CBEs were conducted for phase III districts. In Tamil Nadu, Poshan Abhiyaan CBE activities started from the month of September 2018 for Phase I & II 11 districts (18,573 AWC’s). In Phase III districts(35,866 AWC’s) CBE activities started from the month of May, 2019.
VHSND - VHSNDs are conducted in all centres (as per Advanced tour program of Village Health Nurse in convergence with health department as per the guidelines received from National Health Mission).

Fund Utilization

Expenditure incurred till September 2019 is ₹4680.28 Lakhs only. Totally 34.53% of total allocated fund has been utilized. In the month of October total purchase of smart phones for the amount ₹ 3908.22 Lakhs. Additionally contingency expense of amount (₹5.37 Lakhs) has been utilized only in the state. 32 Districts expenditures are under progress. Total Expenditure till October 2019 is ₹ 8593.87 Lakhs. Totally 63.41% of total allocated fund has been utilized.

POSHAN Abhiyaan Mobile App

Mobile Configuration workshop was done at State level, in phased manner.Totally 20,150 Mobile phones were configured with a team level with SPMU, Helpdesk Personnel & SBP's.
